William Salley

My life long love with photography and alternative process began at age 5 when he was introduced to the magic of the pinhole camera. In 1998 I graduated from the Art Center College of Design with a BFA in Photography. I have been teaching for the past 15 years in various capacities. Have shared my love for photography for 9 years with high school students, taught individuals and workshops covering all aspects of Apple computers including Aperture and Photoshop, and managed the Photography and Graphic Design Labs for the State University of New York at New Paltz. While in New Paltz, I re-establish an alternative process lab by teaching workshops on Van Dyke Brown, Salt, Gun Bichromate and Albumen printing. Lately I have been most inspired by the ability combined both 19th century printing process, the tactile experience of hand coating emulsions, with the control of the 21st century by creating beautiful digital negative. Now at Mission Vista High School, it is my privilege to share the magical world of photography with you.

Jeff Yee.jpg Jeffrey Yee
My name is Jeffrey Yee and I have been teaching since 2004.  I started my career teaching mathematics at Vista High School and then became a founding teacher at Mission Vista High School.  The main reason that I moved to Mission Vista High School was to be part of the excitement in developing a brand new school and to create a one of a kind computer science program.  Our computer science program has grown from once course with two sections to three courses and six sections.  Prior to becoming a teacher, I spent seventeen years as a software engineer working for various companies including PTC and Lockheed Aircraft.  I grew up in Hawaii and went to Punahou School where I was a school mate of President Obama and graduated from Brown University with a degree in Computer Science.  My wife, Donna, is an amazing elementary school teacher and my daughter, Madeline, is a high school student that still has time for her Dad.
