Vista CTE UC a-g Courses

Vista CTE UC a-g Courses

There are two ways CTE/ROP courses have been submitted for UC a-g credit.  The first is to submit through San Diego County CTE/ROP (SDCOE).  Accepted submissions allow anyone in SDCOE CTE/ROP to add-on the course.  This has been the preferred way to submit courses so CTE/ROP courses across the county can share courses without completing and submitting full and original applications.

The second way is a district submission which will not been shared with the rest of the county SDCOE CTE/ROP regional district partners. Currently, all CTE UC a-g submissions will be submitted through the district only, not through SDCOE.

Submissions are created by the CTE teacher at their school site and must be based on the CTE course outline approved by the CTE advisory.  If there is more than one course being taught in the district, for example, TV, Film & Video Productions is running at Vista High School and Mission Vista High School, then both teachers must agree to the outline submission language, textbooks, supplemental materials being used, software, etc. One teacher will prepare the submission on the UC Doorways website. The final submission will be approved by the Director of Secondary Education.

The following chart lists the UC a-g course lists as of March 2015.  It will be updated each year to reflect new approvals.
